Weekend Review

Busy weekend... spent most of Saturday sleeping due to being up all the night before with 40+ teenagers during a youth lock in and also being a sicky. Came down with something late Friday and it knocked me out through Sunday. However... I did manage to take a few photos.

July 4th/Abilene Weekend

My friend Beth and I drove up to Abilene July 4th morning and spent the holiday weekend with my sister eating food, watching movies and taking naps. I've been taking road trips from San Antonio to Abilene for the last 6 years. Most of my closest high school friends went to college in Abilene and then my sister has been there the last couple years working on getting her Masters. All of my high school friends have since graduated and left and my sister graduates in a month, so this trip was one of the last that I will take. The four hour drive has been the best therapy over the last few years. The town isn't much to look at, but I'm so thankful for the memories it holds.

Hope your July 4th celebrations were fun. I missed out on fireworks this year, so I'll have to make sure and go big next year.
