I've been in the Dallas area since Wednesday night. My Uncle passed away New Year's Day and his memorial service was this past Thursday. The time I got to spend with my family was so very bittersweet. We got to eat and laugh and cry and listen to Cat Stevens records...  and it was so nice.

My family and I are spending a couple extra days here at this super trendy hotel (it's not that trendy I'm just way sheltered and uncultured when it comes to hotels). There's a Starbucks and a Dunkin' Donuts within 3 miles so my life's pretty good right now.

I took all of these on Thursday at my Aunt's house after the memorial service. The sunset behind her house was incredible that afternoon...

Lazy hazy day.

First week of 2013 is already over; HOW DOES IT HAPPEN? 

I was going through photos from 2012 and I was blown away with 1. how much my hair grew/changed in a year, 2. the things I was able to see and do; like my roadtrip to Tennessee = <3, and 3. how many photos I took that have gone untouched. 

I took a trip to South Carolina to see my Aunt, Uncle and little cousins (who now live in Texas... such a wonderful thing that happened in 2012) last summer and I found a couple hundred photos I hadn't edited or really looked through since I got back from the trip in August. All of these are from our visit to the zoo.
